Sweet Treats For The 4th

Sometimes planning for an event can be a bit straining to the creative mind. Checklists, guest count and party rentals can easily be the cause for any creative block. When that happens remember this, keep it simple.

Here are three sweet and simple dessert recipes that are sure to leave a bang at the end of your event, even after the fireworks have fizzled.

1. Strawberry Blueberry Yogurt Pops

What you'll need:

Mini muffin tray

Mini disposable paper cups

Vanilla yogurt

Strawberries and blueberries

How to:

To make this sweet pop, start with fresh strawberries and blueberries. Cut the strawberries in semi-thin slices to fit appropriately. Then Place your mini cups in a mini muffin tray and stick your popsicle sticks in the center of each cup. When you add the yogurt and fruit alternate, a scoop of yogurt then a strawberry, a scoop of yogurt and a sprinkle of blueberries. Simple enough!

2. Red, White, and Blue Sprinkle Ice Scream Bars

What you'll need:

Store bought ice cream bars

Cupcake wrappers/ foil

Red, white and blue sprinkles

Lollipop sticks

How to:

Cut the iceam bars in half to fit in the foils. Then prep your sprinkles to dip the edgeds of the bars. Latsly, insert the lollipop sticks and place in cupcake wrappers/ foil.

3. Healthy Friut Cups

What you'll need:

Ice cream cones

White chocolate

Red, white, and blue sprinkles

Strawberries and blueberries

How to:

First prep your cones by dipping them in white chocolate and putting the decorative sprinkles. Then wash and slice fruit to fit in the cones. Lastly, place your fruit in the cones. Simple and also a healthy treat!
